Most people think that all natural skin care has to be expensive. Indeed certain natural skin care products are quite costly, but these are the well known brands. However the reason they are so costly is certainly not because they work any better than the cheaper brands .
 
Brand name skin care is always more expensive whether it is natural or not . This is simply because you are paying for the name . You are also paying for all the marketing they do, whether on TV or in glossy magazines, and of course for the expensive packaging .
 
We are easily seduced out of our money when it comes to looking good . There is nothing wrong with wanting to look good, it’s a natural human want . But we should not be paying excessive prices for good all natural skincare products. The ingredients that go into making the cheaper and more expensive brands are the same, but there are some things we do need to be aware of .
 
Read the label! Yes you really need to do this. This is to ensure the products really are natural and that there are no artificial ingredients in the mix . Frequently the natural ingredients are only a small part of the total mix.
 
There are certain ingredients that are natural but will not pass through the skin’s barrier. For instance collagen and elastin are found in many natural anti aging products but are quite useless.. To be effective a product needs to have ingredients that stimulate collagen production  in the skin itself to have any beneficial effect .
 
So do your research before parting with your hard earned cash . Don’t be fooled by the glossy celebrity ads that claim to use these expensive products, it’s probably all spin. Even worse, most clebrity advertising has been airbrushed to make them look much more glamorous than they actually are.
 
Yes you can make your own natural products . It’s a good way to ensure all the ingredients are natural . However that is time consuming and the finished results don’t keep very well. It is a far better idea to buy inexpensive all natural skin care which do the same job. They’re out there if you know where to look .
